YEAH YOU RIGHT
Yeah You Right is an all-live, weaponized party band from New Orleans that specializes in aggressive dance floor structural integrity testing. If a single person is left sitting down by the second song, they have failed their mission.
The madness started back in the early 90s at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, though Marc and Scott had technically been plotting this since kindergarten. Chris rounded out the trio, and together, they peaked early by absolutely dominating the high school talent show.
In 2005, right before the universe decided to test New Orleans' plumbing, Matt joined the crew, followed closely by CO. The lineup then underwent some casual logistical hurdles—specifically, Matt getting deployed to Iraq with the Marine Corps and then being stationed in California. But because you can’t escape a good groove or these relentless bastards, Matt retired from the military, the band put the format back together, and they’ve been terrorizing quiet events ever since.
The year 2025 was apparently the year of expansion. First, the guys looked at each other and realized they sorely needed someone who could actually hit the high notes without sounding like a failing car transmission. Enter Annabelle. She was brought in to save their vocal cords, dominate the keyboards, and inject some actual eye candy and elegance into the chaos.
Immediately after, they decided what they really needed was some horn power and a touch of corporate litigation. Enter The Stitch. He joined the lineup to blow minds on the sax, completely ignoring the fact that he is currently locked in a massive, multi-million dollar legal battle with Disney over copyright infringement and character defamation regarding the whole Lilo & Stitch debacle. He claims he was the original blueprint; Disney claims they have never seen a koala look-alike play the blues like that.
Yeah You Right refuses to be a predictable cover band. They will hit you with standard wedding classics, but then whiplash you straight into a hip-hop bounce track without warning. Their setlist looks like an iPod that fell down the stairs: you'll get Prince, Bruno Mars, 90s grunge, Sublime, the Cupid Shuffle, Kanye, Lizzo, Shaboozey, and AC/DC all in the span of an hour.
Whether you are trying to survive a corporate retreat, celebrating a wedding, or wandering a festival, they have a song to force you into making questionable dance moves.
